Frequently Asked Questions
👶 Class Details & Suitability
Which class is right for my little one?
- Baby Class (4 Months to Crawling): A gentle 30-minute session focused on tummy time, rolling, sensory play, and early core strength. Perfect for non-mobile babies or those just starting to explore floor movement.
- Explorer Class (Crawling to 3 Years): A 45-minute active session designed for crawlers, bottom-shufflers, cruisers, and confident toddlers. This class uses specialized sensory-motor gym equipment (climbing bars, balance beams, soft play) to build physical confidence, core stability, and coordination.
What if my baby lacks physical confidence or is a bottom shuffler?
Every child develops at their own unique pace! My classes are non-competitive and completely self-paced. Whether your little one is a cautious observer, a bottom-shuffler, or a tummy-slider, they will find a safe, welcoming environment. I never pressure children to climb or balance until they feel ready.
đź“· Website & Privacy
Why do I see AI-generated baby photos on the website?
As a developmental specialist, children’s well-being and digital safety are at the heart of everything I do. I intentionally use AI-generated imagery across the website for two main reasons:
- Complete Privacy & Protection: Modern parents are rightly protective of their children’s digital footprint. By using AI-created images instead of real photographs of local children, I guarantee that no child’s face or identity is ever published online.
- 100% Present in Every Class: My sole focus during sessions is on you and your little one. Instead of stepping back with a phone or camera to capture social media content, I spend every minute actively observing, guiding, and interacting with your child to support their motor development.
📍 Locations & Booking
Where are the classes held?
I currently run weekly sessions at two local Cambridge venues:
- Trumpington: Clay Farm Centre (Thursdays)
- Girton: The Pavilion at Girton Recreation Ground (Fridays)
Can I try a single class before committing to a full term?
Yes! While term booking gives your little one the best week-by-week progression, I know life with young children requires flexibility. You can book a Single Taster Session at any point during the term. (New to Bright Moves? Use code BRIGHT50 for 50% off your taster session!)
What happens if my child is unwell or missing a week?
If your child is unwell, please keep them at home to rest and prevent the spread of illness to other families.
For Single & Taster Sessions: Single and taster bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable due to fixed hall costs and limited room space.
For Full Term / Block Bookings: If you miss a session due to illness or holiday, I will always do my best to offer an alternative catch-up class in the current or next block (subject to space availability) or arrange a partial refund. Please note that in line with our terms, only one missed session per block is eligible for a reschedule or partial refund, and additional missed sessions cannot be accommodated.
🎒 What to Bring & Expect
What should my child and I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement!
- Babies/Toddlers: Bare feet or non-slip socks are best on the gym mats so they can grip the equipment naturally.
- Parents/Carers: Socks are required on the mat area.
Bringing Siblings or Additional Children
By default, each booking is set for one child. If you plan to bring two children (such as twins or a sibling), please make sure to select or specify two children when making your booking. Knowing the exact number of little ones on the mats helps me plan the room setup, balance the equipment, and ensure there is plenty of safe space for everyone to explore!
Partners, Grandparents & Carers
Parents, partners, grandparents, and secondary carers are always warmly welcome! Whether both parents want to join in the fun or a grandparent wants to watch your little one’s progress, there is always room for your support system to share in these special moments.
